A good way to overcome stress and even depression and anxiety should those nuisances creep up on you is to generally be happy and have a positive mindset of the world around you. It would be far less likely for stress to overpower you if you have a happy state of mind. In order to maintain a happy mind, try and participate in hobbies that you enjoy. Hobbies like walking or reading can do wonders for your mind as they will take the thoughts of work or school away and replace them with whatever it is you are doing right now.

Another effective way to sustain a happy mind is to hang out with some of your friends. If you’re unfortunate enough to have a small circle of friends, maybe you can find some more locally. Join a local community in your free time and you are sure to make some new acquaintances from there. No matter how you become happy, being happier and generally positive about life in general can help immensely when it comes to coping with stress.
