Reading and Writing

Although I don’t do much reading or writing in general, the times I have done helped quite well with my stress. I’ve found that reading a book helps to take your mind away from any problems you’re facing at the moment, and instead focuses your mind on whatever it is you are reading at the time. When it comes to writing, furthermore, it seems to be best to jot down whatever you are feeling at the moment onto either a piece of paper, or a word document on a computer. As well as jotting down whatever you’re feeling, you could also take up writing stories in your free time.

Wattpad is a website where you can create stories, fan fiction or poems and share with a wide community of very active readers and other writers. If you find the spare time away from school or work, try to write a story or poem and publish it to the community; you may find the entire adventure to be exciting and efficient enough to take your mind off of the stressing thoughts about what may be causing your stress.
